If I just need a few more I might build a shack instead of a hut even later on. Once they’re built I put them all together and the space I would have used for giving them road access can be used for something else. Residential buildings don’t require road access. I’ll usually have 6-7 expansions left by the end.ĭon’t buy too many expansions using axes or ale, horns are probably the best currency to buy expansions with, considering the wool farm takes more space. Here’s what worked for me:ĭon’t expand too much. I’ve done it 7 times, got gold on every single one. Vikings is tedious but it is a fun puzzle to learn to do and optimize. I plant a fourth when I unlock markets, and plant a fifth when I unlock wool and get my final expansion. I plant a third when I get my first expansion with mead. But normally, I start with 2 goods buildings at beginning (only briefly go down to 1 goods building if I don't get a 4X bonus on the first productions) and then slowly get to 5 goods buildings by the end of the settlement. Getting huts and markets unlock quickly is a priority since they provide so much more efficiency in your space than shacks and shrines.Ħ) The number of goods buildings you can support is dependent on how much coin you can produce (coin is the bottleneck of the settlement). Reason is each new tech gives you buildings that are more efficient with your space. Since most people have a job, I would run 2 4 hour productions during work, reset it during lunch, and then at night if you have more time to play you can do some 1 hr productions to stock up.Ĥ) I normally unlock 8 expansions 3 with axes, 2 with mead, 2 with horns, and 1 with wool.ĥ) Evaluate what goods are needed for the next tech and only produce those. If you don't hit a 4X bonus on your first productions, sell one of the axesmiths, unlock shrines, no expansions, and run only 1 axesmith with 2 shrines running.ģ) Other commentors are right, you have to run 4 hr productions or less in order to hit the time limit. Take out roads and cram shacks together to do this.Ģ) If one of your first two production runs hit a 4X bonus, keep both axes smiths, unlock shrines and buy two expansions and plant 2 or 3 shrines. I finished all 15 Viking settlements within time, here's my guidelines on how to do it:ġ) Need to plant two axe smiths at the beginning. AuthorWrite something about yourself. No need to be fancy, just an overview. ArchivesCategories |
